When you think of a whimsical wedding, a winter wonderland certainly
isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But for the boho bride that
wants to add a touch of glam to her big day, the colder months are the
perfect time to tie the knot. Say “I do” to any one of these
boho-inspired winter wedding hairstyles, and you’ll totally be floating
on cloud 9.
1. The Half Halo Braid
Whether you’re a
bohemian princess or a down-to-earth bride with a flare for all things
vintage, rest assured, this stunning, half up half down hairdo strikes
the perfect balance between classy and casual. We adore how a delicate,
embellished lace headband is placed directly in front of the mini halo
braid to really give it that bridal feel. Sweeping the bottom section of
hair to one side and adding a few soft curls makes this wedding day
look one for the books; it’s simply to die for!
2. The Back Braid With Waves
For
a winter wedding day ‘do that’s just as bold and beautiful as you, ask
your stylist for a creative twist on the traditional back of the head
braid: think a small ladder braid or a double waterfall braid paired
with a statement-making floral crown and long, loose curls to lend the
look an air of romance.

3. The Undone Half Up Bun
If
you’re a huge fan of the top knot, but would never consider wearing
your hair completely up for your nuptials, why not try the half up bun?
We love how undone this style looks, particularly with scattered baby’s
breath decorating the knot. Thanks to the curls though, it’s still
utterly glamorous and absolutely ideal for a wedding. Make sure your
stylist leaves a couple inch sections of hair out in the front to softly
frame your face.

4. Soft, Romantic Curls
Steal
Lauren Conrad’s signature look for your big day, except with a little
bit more of a bohemian vibe. Soft, romantic curls are a great go-to for
any bride with long locks. They’re not only timeless, but they’re
totally winter appropriate too (and might even keep your shoulders and
chest warm!). Topped off with a fresh floral crown, you’ll be the
essence of a natural beauty.

5. The Whimsical Side Braid
Perfectly
imperfect is the best way to describe this breathtaking side braid.
It’s everything a boho bride could want and more, especially with that
floral halo. The good news is, it easily works for medium-length locks,
as you can see. Have your stylist create tousled waves in your hair
prior to braiding it. For a messier, more undone look, allow a few
strands to stick out of the braid, as opposed to pinning them.

6. The Boho Glam Fishtail
Just
because you’re a boho babe doesn’t mean your hair can’t have a bit of
bedazzle, right? A luxe flower and chain headpiece situated where this
bride’s bangs begin dresses up her side fishtail braid beautifully. This
style is definitely a ‘do for an elegant bohemian winter affair.

7. The Effortlessly Elegant Pinned Back Chignon
Another
gorgeous updo for the boho bride with bangs, this pretty pinned back
chignon would look beyond enchanting with a wedding dress featuring an
ornate back (or basically any back you want to show off as you walk down
the aisle)! It’s carefree yet sophisticated all at once. Add an
intricate branch headpiece like the bride pictured, and you’ll be
glowing from head to toe.
